Everyone!
As an elementary school
librarian, I have the incredible luck to be able to read as much as possible for
my work. I constantly tell me students that my "homework" tonight is to read,
read, read! It's absolutely amazing.
Since reading is my daily
assignment, I've been able to read so many great books that my elementary
students might enjoy reading. From the completely ridiculous humor of Dav
Pilkey to the amazingly touching realistic fiction of R.J. Palacio's Wonder,
I have found that there is a book out there for every type of reader.
Sometimes finding a book match for one reader is more challenging than an other,
but I've made it a challenge to find a book for every reader. That's where this
blog and my wonderful Twitter book group #booksquad comes into play.
Through this blog I hope
to reach all my K-5 readers. By providing titles of new and popular books, to
lists of "If
You Liked That, Then Read..." my goal is to help find a book that's right
for you.
It's a work in progress
that is just in its infant stages so please be patient with me as I do my best
to take years of reading and compile it into one place. Come back often as I
add more titles, more video previews and more ideas.
